**Position Summary and Responsibilities**

The Sr Systems Engineer will be handling Chemical and Nuclear processes including:

+ Development of Process Flow Diagrams, mass and energy balances

+ Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)

+ Process and control system descriptions

+ Equipment selection/Specifications

+ Sizing: Related calculations and analysis

+ Test plans and reports

+ Operating Manuals, drawings, and other technical information necessary to fully document process design efforts and accomplishments in projects and programs.

The Sr Systems Engineer will also lead and support technology development:

+ Perform life-cycle cost analysis for process systems.

+ Perform as a major contributor in identifying and pursuing new technologies.

+ Conducts, contacts, and interfaces with high level technical personnel of other companies, customers, and government agencies.

+ Provide leadership and or Participate in Safety Analysis (HAZOPS, FMEA, PHA etc.)

+ Lead and direct engineers and designers assigned to perform process engineering tasks



Candidate must have B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 14+ years' experience in the design of Chemical, Environmental and/or Nuclear process systems .

Candidate must have:

+ Proven experience in developing process flow diagrams

+ Piping and instrumentation diagrams, heat and mass balances, process engineering calculations, process equipment and systems design, selection, specifications, and process control systems

+ Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Must be able to work and support several projects simultaneously

+ Must be able to Lead and direct Engineers and designers assigned to perform process engineering tasks.

+ Knowledge of NQA-1 requirements and working knowledge of HAZOPS, FMEA, PHA, required.

+ Experience with DOE, DOD and commercial projects needed.

**Strongly Desired** :

Masters' degree in chemical engineering and P.E. Registration preferred but not required.

Capability to develop creative solutions to customer processing challenges.
